Space-Communication Ltd. (more commonly known as Spacecom) (TLV: SCCOTCMKTS: SPMMF) provides vast, reliable coverage over Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East via their satellite fleet. The company’s vision is to connect off-grid communities and provide them with its wide arrange of digital services. Spacecom wants to provide 100% nationwide connectivity to drive economic growth and prosperity.

With Spacecom’s mission to connect the world’s unconnected rural areas, it makes perfect sense for the Israeli satellite company to join forces with NuRAN Wireless Inc (CNSX: NUR, OTCMKTS: NRRWF) and its goals.

“It is a very complimentary solution in terms of [spaceom] bringing the capacities and management of the satellite communications or connectivity while Nuran and they’re new innovative and cost-effective solutions will go into the most deepest rural and be the long arm of the MNO and the new model that they have, they are placing all the infrastructure, for us its very interesting” – Spacecom Senior Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Strategy Ofer Asif

NuRAN Wireless is primed to become a dominant player in the growing billion-dollar Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) market. NuRAN’s technology is the world’s most affordable network solution to connect rural areas to the internet.

Spacecom bought a 9.3% stake in NuRAN Wireless to deepen its presence across Africa. The deal worth $3.2 million includes exclusive rights for providing satellite capacity and bandwidth to NuRAN’s future operations in Africa, where Spacecom provides services with its Amos-17 spacecraft. It also covers managed services contracts NuRAN has to extend telco partner Orange SA’s mobile network in Cameroon and DRC.

“Why we made the investment in [NuRAN Wireless] we have a very good relationship with the management and the team. We think this is a strategic investment because we are not just looking at DRC and Cameroon, we are looking to expand these mutual services together in all of Africa and beyond” – Spacecom Senior Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Strategy Ofer Asif

In today’s day and age, our lives are becoming dependent on connectivity and power. With the help of Spacecom and NuRAN’s communication services, rural communities that have never had access to the internet will be able to generate growth. There is a strong relationship between connectivity and a country’s ability to generate economic activity, education, the ability to interact with each other and GDP.

Watch the full interview to learn about the global applications for Spacecom and NuRAN’s partnership and how their communication services will increase global connectivity and economic activity.
